Vatsal Sheth On Nepotism Debate: 'If You’re So Keen On Seeing Taimur Ali Khan Right Now, You Can’t Cry Nepotism'
As the nepotism debate has gained momentum on social media, TV actor Vatsal Sheth who is an outsider himself, gives his perspective
Nepotism debate has been making headlines everyday since Sushant Singh Rajput's tragic death. People have been constantly expressing their rage and slamming star kids and Bollywood biggies on social media. As netizens continue to seethe, many are coming out in open to express their views on the insider-outsider issue in Bollywood. Speaking of which, TV actor Vatsal Sheth was seen sharing his views on the same. According to the actor, he feels it’s natural for parents to support their kids and kids want to do this as they’ve grown up watching their parents and lived that life. That's not it, he even mentioned that the audience also wants to see star kids, they shouldn't cry about nepotism while giving an example of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan's little munchkin Taimur Ali Khan.
A statement of Vatsal was carried in Hindustan Times, where he said, “Taimur (Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s son) is a kid. See how people go crazy around him. Uska photo dikhao, video dikhao. If you’re so keen on seeing Taimur right now, obviously you want to see him on big screen, too. Then if he becomes an actor, you can’t cry nepotism.” The Taarzan actor also gives examples of the outsiders' actors who made it big in the industry. “
Look at Kartik Aaryan, Ayushmann Khurrana — they aren’t from the industry, they worked very hard. Varun Dhawan is a great actor. I know how hard he works on his craft and even in the gym, so you can’t ignore that and just talk about him being a director’s son,” he further quips.
Vatsal also feels that “For an outsider, it might be difficult but not impossible” and called on those "people who shout nepotism on Twitter don’t know what’s actually happening."
